Appearance: Masaru has short, shaggy black hair that falls just below his ears. His shihakusho hangs open revealing most of his chest and an x-shaped scar at the center of his torso. His sash is a family heirloom. The sash is a pale, ice-like blue color that complements his eyes and the mysterious powers of his Zanpakutou. He wears the sleeveless captain's haori for the Sixth Division, the inside of the haori is a deep, indigo blue.

Gigai: Looks exactly the same except his usual outfit consists of a long-sleeved white/or colored button up shirts that he keeps un-tucked from his pants. He wears black pants and and belt. His shoes are normal black shoes. He wears other outfits as well, but that's his usual one.

Gikongan Soul: Rio (meaning: River) - Masaru rarely likes using his gikongan (and for good reason), but in the when in need to, Rio is the soul that takes over. In attitude and personality, Rio is the practically the complete opposite of Masaru; being a real casonova and well...pervert. Sometimes, he'll even pretend to be Masaru in order to get a rise out of the noble when persuing the person of his choice.

Personality: Masaru comes across as the silent type, always tending to isolate himself and act shy or coldly towards others. Once people get to know him though, he opens up. He will treat them kindly and become more sociable. Masaru also has a passion for cooking, which he can get very serious about.

Likes: Reading, Cold Weather, Taking Walks, Sweet or Spicy Foods, Sakura Blossoms, Calligraphy, Writing, and Snow

Dislikes: Liars, Slackers, Bitter Food, Fighting Unless Necessary, Noise, and Being Pestered, Abuse, People That Think too Highly of Themselves, and how the people of Rukongai must live in poverty.

Biography (optional): Masaru, coming from high-ranking noble lineage, has worked constantly since childhood to live up to his father and obtain his acceptance. His mother died when he was young and his father became distant, cold, and abusive afterward and Masaru only had himself to depend on, no one knew about that side of his father and Masaru keeps what went on a secret to this very day. There are some things that Masaru swears he'll take to the grave with him, memories so dark that he constantly battles to suppress them. Since he's nobility, many never tried to get to know him out of fear and jealously. Very few know of Masaru's Zanpakutou. He continues to train day by day, working hard to keep himself healthy and strong, the very type of man he'd worked so hard to become.

Kidou (if any): After years and years of training he's become quite good at using most kidou, but still excels in his swordsmanship.

• Shirakawa Mamoru - Masaru's father. He has straight, black hair that goes just past his ears, his eyes are a dark shade of green. He wears the standard, shinigami shihakusho, aside from the sash being the ice-blue, family heirloom and also a taicho's haori for the Sixth Division.

Birthday: June 1st

• Shirakawa Nozomi - Masaru's mother. A young looking woman with black hair that goes just to her shoulders. Her eyes are ice-blue like her son's. She was really just a noble woman, not a shinigami like Mamoru. She was married into the Shirakawa Clan a few years after Mamoru and her began seeing each other.

• Nozomi - A young girl that Masaru had saved from a street vendor. She had stolen bread to support the younger children she lived with. After being saved, she gained a great respect for Masaru. She has sky blue eyes and shoulder length black hair that she tends to have tied up in a small ponytail at times with a red hair string. In looks she looks to be about six years of age. Eventually, after the death of Masaru's father, Masaru took Nozomi in to get her off of the streets. She now lives with him in the Shirakawa Mansion.

Zanpakuto Application:

Name: Gokkan no Ikari (meaning: Frigid Rage)
Unreleased Form: The guard represents a flower shaped snow-flake while the hilt is an icy blue color.

Spirit Form: A male with icy-white hair down to the bottom of his neck, while some strands hang loose in his face. His irises are almost pure white but have a small tint of blue to show them properly. He wears a pure white yukata. The sleeves and bottom of the kimono are frozen with ice and the sash he wears is also slightly frozen at the end. He, like his master, is the silent type and doesn't like talking much. His skin is also very pale, almost white.

Inner World (Optional): A world of pure ice surrounded by rose-shaped ice structures. There is also one large pond holding a waterfall that pours pure white, shining, water into it.

Shikai Command: Tōketsu (meaning: Freeze)

Shikai Transformation (Optional):
When releasing his Zanpakutou, he holds it directly in front of him, pointing it at his target. Once the release command is stated it begins glowing white and, as if it were light snowflakes being blown by the wind , begins to slowly evaporate into the air.

Shikai Form:
His zanpakutou disappears and becomes parts of the water molecules he sees around him for him to use as he wills.
